To prevent emails from getting filtered out or getting sent to your Junk/Spam folder, you need to whitelist the sender’s email. For example, when signing up to get my emails, you will need to whitelist my email, email@example.com.
The way to do this will vary depending on your web hosting service, but here are just a couple of examples.
1. Whitelisting emails with Gmail:
Sign in to your Gmail account and add the email address to your Contacts.
2. Whitlisting emails with Outlook:
Go to Settings > Options > Block or allow and add the email to your safe sender list. For more information, click here.
Some things to note:
- Check your Spam or Junk folder once in a while to see if the wrong emails are getting sent there. Mark the ones you want to reach your inbox as NOT Spam.
- If you no longer want to receive emails from a newsletter, simply Unsubscribe. Good email services will make it easy for you to do so. You will save yourself time and space in your email service in the future.
